About this exploration
The Limpaki Wetlands National Park is located close to Kampung Limpaki, and situated approximately 8km away from the town of Limbang. The park has a magnificent mangrove forest which is occupied by a variety of wildlife creatures. Visitors to the park will have the opportunity of encountering crocodiles, cat snakes, owls and fireflies. If you’re lucky, there is even a chance of coming face to face with the proboscis monkeys that inhabit the forest.
Perhaps one of the best ways to explore and enjoy a day out at the Limpaki mangrove forest is by taking a canoe down the river. The journey will take you about 2 hours. Paddling with a canoe will not attract too much attention, hence this will avoid from scaring the wildlife creatures away. It is also important for you to keep the river clean and pollutant free to preserve nature and also the creatures who make the river their home. Apart from canoeing, fishing, crab-catching and exploring the wildlife, you can also drop by at a Malay village for a visit.
